Biographical Info

Joel Mandish currently lives in Portland Oregon with his wife Naomi and two children. The son of a successful illustrator and Scottish Highland Dance instructor, he was introduced to drawing and encouraged at a young age.

At the age of 13 he began to take Life drawing classes at the Northwest College of Art in Portland. In High School he received credits for working for his Father's illustration and design business. Later, he attended four years at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena California. Joel worked at Mattel Toys as a sculptor in California during and after college and then returned to Oregon to work with his Father doing graphic design and illustration.

With a genuine appreciation of the wonder, and intricacy of God's creation, he endeavors to convey qualities of noble character and beauty in a way that is real and inspiring.
